KiD Cudi x Complex Interview
As KiD CuDi graces the cover for Complex Magazine's Oct./Nov. issue, Joe La Puma of Complex caught up with Cudder to produced a dope interview diving into topics from drug use, Cudder having a secret newborn earlier this year, going in on Wale, upcoming album x other heavy topics as CuDi lays everything out. Definitely an intense interview x amazing piece.
"Complex: Speaking of Wale, when you hit that fan at your show last December, he came out with a line about it ["Throwin' 'round wallets like the dude that Kid Cudi hit," from "Thank You Freestyle"].
Kid Cudi: It wasn’t a shot, it’s just a simple-ass rhyme by a simple-ass rapper. You can’t let that shit faze you. That’s one of those raps that just shows the world that you wack. Why would you even use that as a metaphor? Everybody think they Hov. Niggas ain’t got the magic like they think they do; there’s only a couple of wizards in this game. I’m a wizard and I know it.

Finally getting a chance to listen to Dig's new project, the youngin' has definitely grown into his own and showing his ability as an artist on the tape. With features from heavies including: Lupe Fiasco, Pharrell, Raekwon, Colin Munroe x more, and production from Omen, Naeko x Black the Beast Dig takes you on his journey through the come up x shows his versatility.

Along with finally getting a chance to listen to Dig's new project, we also got the once over - which turned into a constant replay of the whole tape - from XV's latest.
Recently signing to Warner Bros. Records, XV dropped mixtape "Vizzy Zone." In the same sphere as KiD CuDi x Big Sean, "Vizzy Zone" takes you into the world of XV. This tape definitely surprised us by not having one whack track on the project - XV x Kweli go in on "Rest Button" - def. a TTV fav on the tape- taking shots for not being included in as one of the Freshman 10, and features including: Talib Kweli, KiD CuDi, Mike Posner, Bun B, Colin Munroe x production by Seven, Omen, Mike Posner, x more. XV, definitely a good look on this one.

J.Nolan - "Broken Dreams" Mixtape
We came across this cat somehow this morning, and was intrigued by the cover art that has one of those chill-ass downtown nights vibe. Good thing it caught our eye, because the tape is still spinning as we speak.
J. Nolan delivers some dope lyrics, with some extremely smooth, jazz x soulful beats with heavy percussions, keys and strings to accompany. Pop this in your car, drop the top, roll all the windows down...whatever you gotta do, but this cd is mad chill and beyond legit. Can't wait to see what's next from this cat.

With the unfortunate news of Cudders sophomore release "Man On The Moon 2: Legend of Mr. Rager's" drop date being pushed from Sept. 14 to Sept. 28, CuDi keeps his fans happy and leaked his newest track "Mojo So Dope." With the news of CuDi's album being pushed, keep an eye open for label mates Big Sean and Consequence's album being delayed as well. PH

September 14 will be a G.O.O.D. day
So it's been said - via twitter 2 days ago - that the G.O.O.D. music crew will drop Kanye's "Good Ass Job," Big Sean's "Finally Famous," x Cudders "Man On The Moon II: The Legend of Mr. Rager." Now theres no telling if this is true - since release dates are hard to believe - but if truth has been told, then this would be a dope move for not only CuDi x 'Ye, but mostly for Big Sean to have the same release date as the two heavies because it would promote his project and expand Big Sean to the unknown due in large part by G.O.O.D. music promoting multiple projects at once with an already well established fan base in Cudder x Kanye, and not only that, but I could cop all three at once :).

How To Make It In American Mixtape
I've been seeing this tape around a lot since last week but never got around to checking it out until just now. Woke up this morning, hit that on-demand and saw some new show featuring Kid Cudi, Bryan Greenberg x Victor Rasuk. Produced by Mark Wahlberg and a good portion of the crew that created Entourage, How To Make It In America is about two cats on the daily hustle tryin to make it in the Big City; its straight up not about making it, but the beauty of the grind, struggle and amazing moments that make the hustle worth it. Most of the parties and some other footage you see is all real, which makes the show even more legit. DJ Green Lantern, Kid Cudi x Broke Mogul made a tape for the TV series, check the show Sundays @ 10/9c and download the tape here:
Johnny Polygon: Rebel Without Applause
This dude is dope. I saw some script for this tape last week sometime but didn't follow up on it until I saw the jump on Picnic's page earlier today. After listening to the track "The Riot Song" produced by PicnicTyme and the remix featuring Cudder, I had to check the tape. So far this is def. one of my fav. tapes of 2010; with joints featuring Amanda Diva, Gabe Real, Kid Cudi and production by Green Lantern and Dallas' very own Picnic this is def. worth a check.
