How To Make It In American Mixtape
I've been seeing this tape around a lot since last week but never got around to checking it out until just now. Woke up this morning, hit that on-demand and saw some new show featuring Kid Cudi, Bryan Greenberg x Victor Rasuk. Produced by Mark Wahlberg and a good portion of the crew that created Entourage, How To Make It In America is about two cats on the daily hustle tryin to make it in the Big City; its straight up not about making it, but the beauty of the grind, struggle and amazing moments that make the hustle worth it. Most of the parties and some other footage you see is all real, which makes the show even more legit. DJ Green Lantern, Kid Cudi x Broke Mogul made a tape for the TV series, check the show Sundays @ 10/9c and download the tape here:
Johnny Polygon: Rebel Without Applause
This dude is dope. I saw some script for this tape last week sometime but didn't follow up on it until I saw the jump on Picnic's page earlier today. After listening to the track "The Riot Song" produced by PicnicTyme and the remix featuring Cudder, I had to check the tape. So far this is def. one of my fav. tapes of 2010; with joints featuring Amanda Diva, Gabe Real, Kid Cudi and production by Green Lantern and Dallas' very own Picnic this is def. worth a check. Lupe Fiasco: "What U Want"
A new track from Lupe leaked the other day and is said to be on his upcoming album "Lasers". Although I hate when new joints are leaked (esp. from good artists), this track is to hot to be salty about it.
