New Music: Kanye West - Lost in the World

Looks like G.O.O.D. Friday came a bit early this week as someone leaked new track "Lost in the World" by Kanye West early this AM, and I'm glad they did.  Dope track, was thrown off by all the auto-tune, but balances this track out perfectly.

Josh Young "Milky Beatz Productions"

Self- taught Fort Worth, TX music producer x good friend of TTV Joshua Ray Young constantly climbs the ladder with plans of becoming one of the most wide-ranging music producers of his era. The 21-year-old single handedly operates his own music production company “Milky Beatz Productions” where he works with up and coming Texas artists as well as produce tracks for several other musical constituents in other states.

Young grew up in a home where hip-hop was not allowed which left plenty of room for him to explore a variety of other genres from country --- to 80’s electro. While admiring notable music producers like Drummer Boy and Alchemeist, hip-hop became the genre that helped him acquire a sound that has the potential to sell on an international level. After producing the single “My White Gurl” for Dallas, TX hip-hop/pop female artist Imyounik, he received full production credit for the track. As he prepares for his first film score, he still works hard to develop a sound that will attract artists like Jay-Z and Kid Cudi.

Producer Josh Young leaves no sound untouched, with a limitless mindset on his productions, you will easily find opposite genre's in some of his tracks, that blend together flawlessly.

Here is a new track off Milky Beatz' new project - check back for details - , which will feature Postal Service tracks with a blend of  hip-hop/dance.

New Music: Colin Munroe - "Bulletproof Monster" (Nicki Minaj x La Roux)

Some new dopeness by Colin Munroe mixing Nicki Minaj vocals with La Roux

"Bulletproof Monster, the second installment in The Revox Suite , was a challenging experiment. The acapella of Nicki Minaj's verse from "Monster" is in a vault somewhere so I was forced to use it with Kanye's beat underneath, which made adding new vocals tricky. I also had to digitally alter La Roux's "Bulletproof" melody to make it fit the "Monster" beat. Add my revox to that and it feels like I've created a musical Frankenstein. Fitting, I think. Enjoy this Bulletproof Monster." - Colin Munroe

Black Milk "Album of the Year" Review

Making buzz with a title "Album of The Year," and cover art that completely understates how amazing this album truly is, Black Milk's new project had enough hype x expectations coming in with his fourth album.

Keepin' it short and simple, Black Milk out does himself with limiting features to Royce Da 5'9, Danny Brown, Elzhi, Monica Blaire x Ali, which not only adds an individual element to Black's self produced album, but also show's how the MC keeps evolving into a better artists x lyricist. With heavy percussions, strings, and an added rock x soul element to the production, only illuminates the lyrics to songs like "Keep Going;" "Closed Chapter;" "Round of Applause;" x "Oh Girl,"... let me stop before I name the whole album off.

This album is not only well rounded, but consistency is key; not to play off the title, but this album literally might be one of our favorites this year.

Simply proper with this one, to sum it up in one word..."wow." Definitely some food for thought x real hip-hop for the feens.

New Music: J.Cole - "The Plan"

J.Cole released self produced single "The Plan" for upcoming game NBA Elite 11 soundtrack.

Dallas Artist Interview: Moses Uvere

After many track spins in the beginning of the year, we luckily ran into Moses Uvere at a sneaker expo event this past summer , and after meeting and joking around with this cat, his passion for his artistry was just oozing off of him. We recently caught up with him and ask Moses Uvere "Who Are You?" in terms of him as an artists, Uvere simply said "I'm a 24 yr. old man chasing a dream." - Moses Uvere....proper.

As Uvere easily keeps the southern swag, mixed with his own style x keeping it positive, his messages from struggle to triumph will definitely have you appreciating him as a person x an MC while he keeps the production and lyrics on point to have you not even noticing that the profane verbiage is vacant.

TTV: What message are you trying to send the masses in your lyrics? And with a southern swag, do you think its easily relatable?

Moses Uvere: "I'm just trying to paint pictures of certain times and moments in my life. I want my lil niece to look back on my old songs and see where her Uncle was at, and what he was experiencing. I believe people can relate to real life, and that's all I write 'Real Life Music.'"

TTV: As a local artist, how do you see the hip-hop scene in Dallas growing?

Moses Uvere: "I think the Dallas scene sucks. The underground is popin', but the ain't getting' no love out here from the mainstream side of things. Then also, the "Crab in the Bucket" mentality is out here as well, but despite that, there are a lot of talented and wonderful people in this city!"

TTV: Any collabs with other Dallas artists in the works?

Moses Uvere: "My producer mentioned to me that we might have Kyle from the band "Forever The Sickest Kids" (which is from the DFW area) play some drums on our new songs. I have one collab that I have in mind thats going to shock the world, but for now that will be my lil secret."

TTV: Every time I link up with you it seems like you've got another show right around the corner, when's the next one around DFW? Any plans for a tour?

Moses Uvere: "Man I have an upcoming show in the Dallas area Sept. 26 at the Curtain Club. That show will actually be the last show of a two week run of shows I'm doing with a DJ out of in West Texas named DJ Promote."
TTV: Top 10 MC's x Producers

Moses Uvere: "Rappers: Joe Budden, Master P, Ludacris, Jadakiss, Japhia Life, J. Cole, LionHeart, Gallery Cat, Ty City, Anonymous Culture. Producers: Dustin Cavazos, Adam Messenger, Justice League, BO-1DA, Just Blaze, Tony Stone, Kanye West, Jayflow (GP1), Lethmojoe, Jonny Mack."

TTV: Do you have a mixtape/album dropping soon?

Moses Uvere: "Yah I do. I just recently signed to Chaos Theory, which is owned and ran by Universal producer Geoff Rockwell. He and I are putting out an EP by the first quarter of 2011. It's gunna be my first label release which I'm really excited about!"

TTV: Alright taking it into left field, who is the flyest lady?

TTV: What's on your playlist right now?

Moses Uvere: "J. Cole - "Blow Up;" Mike Posner - "Cooler Than Me;" Death Cab For Cutie - "Soul Meets Body."

TTV: Uvere, always a pleasure my dude. Any shootouts x cat's we should keep a look out for?

Moses Uvere: " Anytime! Big shouts to my family all of my brothers and sisters and my father! Be on the lookout for "Spanish Bombs" from my very good friend LionHeart. Check him out at:

KiD Cudi x Complex Interview

As KiD CuDi graces the cover for Complex Magazine's Oct./Nov. issue, Joe La Puma of Complex caught up with Cudder to produced a dope interview diving into topics from drug use, Cudder having a secret newborn earlier this year, going in on Wale, upcoming album x other heavy topics as CuDi lays everything out. Definitely an intense interview x amazing piece.

"Complex: Speaking of Wale, when you hit that fan at your show last December, he came out with a line about it ["Throwin' 'round wallets like the dude that Kid Cudi hit," from "Thank You Freestyle"].

Kid Cudi: It wasn’t a shot, it’s just a simple-ass rhyme by a simple-ass rapper. You can’t let that shit faze you. That’s one of those raps that just shows the world that you wack. Why would you even use that as a metaphor? Everybody think they Hov. Niggas ain’t got the magic like they think they do; there’s only a couple of wizards in this game. I’m a wizard and I know it.
Are your peers not seeing that?

Kid Cudi: The last album, I let people dis me, throw out those jabs in their verses and have their little slick remarks. This time around, I’m not fucking around. I have no time to think about other niggas. These other motherfuckers like feeding off another nigga’s energy, so they mention their name. You hear me talk about niggas? I don’t even talk about Kanye, and
